Madness

These past few weeks have been nutty mcnut nuts, covered in nuts, with a heaping side of nuts. No, seriously. I feel like my brain has officially melted (note: I currently have two three year olds screaming at each other in the background while they run circles around the house). Nuts.
Here's the nutty low down: We have decided to put our house on the market, aka sell, aka buy a new one, aka MOVE all of our junk, aka madness. Also, we have been struggling with infertility for the past year, and have finally decided to look at all of our options. I must say it's a pretty emotional/expensive/tiresome precess. Everything all happening at once, not to mention Matt working/in school, and me working/mommying/ looking for "real jobs", = madness.

Que spontaneous crying (it happens to the best of us) and this song:

So, it's not ALL madness (yes, it is) it's really exciting too. Just the thought of moving out of our townhouse is thrilling! And a baby?.. don't even get me started. I will pee my pants in excitement. It's all just a bit much to deal with all at once.

I have had some time to play with my camera recently though. We went to visit our friends KC & Jessie out in Carlton (rural wine country in Oregon) and looked around town checking out some of the local real-estate. It's so beautiful and quiet and serene out there. I would LOVE it if we could find some affordable land out there to call our own. Matt and his bandmate KC got to have a little jam sesh. Jessie, KC's fiance and I got to have girl time and Olin got to run around and get dirty. Awesome day/ break from reality for our family.

I mayy have been a bit heavy handed with the editing, but I'm still learning and playing around the whole photo editing precess. I'm excited for this crazy week to be over and more excited to get back into more regular blogging/ posting. I don't expect my life to slow down anytime soon, but I sure do fricken wish I can figure out how to balance all these new hats.. and soon.

Lingerie Shower

Hillary is one lucky bride. After her fantastic bachelorette party at the beach, her bridesmaid Kristi, threw her a beautiful lingerie shower. Not gonna lie, I have an addiction to glitter (side note: Matt hates anything glitter and I'm pretty sure that fuels my glitter loving fire even more.. can you say stubborn?) anyway, Kristi used lots of glitter, in nice subtle ways. From a dusting on the funfetti cake pops, to glitter paper holding the popcorn and even little glitter details on the nail polish prizes. The glittery details, adorable gold & silver painted mason jars, decorations, delish food and even a little station to write Hillary well wishes, made for a wonderfully creative and sweet shower! Plus, Hillary will have adorable undies to last for at least a year... that is, minus the ones we made for the shower game. ;)
Also, I've been getting to play photographer at all these events and have been learning lots about my camera and am LOVING it!

Things Tiny Humans Do

Tiny humans love playing guitar with dad. Rockstar in the making.
They also love wearing silly glasses while kicking it with their bestie.

Beach-lorette Party

On friday, we had a bachelorette party in Pacific City for my friend Hillary. It was filled with healthy, yummy food goodness, girly chit-chat, flower-crown making fun, LOTS of booze/ jello shots and, of course, someone (points to self) falling down the stairs (so. freaking. clumsy.).
The weather was surprisingly perfect (seriously you never know what kind of weather you will get at the Oregon coast) and made for some beautiful pictures. Only downside: I just didn't want to leave. I would just plant my butt in that sand and never leave if life were up to me. Alas, it's not, but I did have a wonderful time!
